Job Description
The Counsellor/Social Worker will provide essential counselling services to a diverse range of clients dealing with various psychosocial issues including mental health conditions addictions eating disorders grief and trauma anger management family and domestic violence and financial stressors. This role involves conducting comprehensive psychosocial assessments delivering targeted interventions and coordinating care to enhance the overall wellbeing of clients. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a compassionate approach and a strong commitment to supporting individuals in navigating their challenges
Qualifications :
To be considered:
- Ongoing full accreditation under a national counselling registration board. Acceptable accrediting bodies include Australian Register of Counsellors & Psychotherapists Association & AHPRA.
- Minimum 2 years full time counselling experience preferably working with diverse populations facing various psychosocial issues.
- Tertiary qualification in counselling modalities and techniques applicable to mental health addictions trauma and family dynamics
- Proficiency in therapeutic modalities and techniques applicable to mental health addictions trauma and family dynamics
- Knowledge and experience in providing culturally appropriate care.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple cases effectively.
