Job Description

The Platform Engineering organization is looking for a selfdriven handson engineer that can drive ASIC emulation infrastructure development. Your primary responsibility will be supporting the prototyping and emulation farm with a focus on the emulation platforms.  The ideal candidate is someone with a broad knowledge base but with focus and depth in a few of the skills.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support external host and peripheral interface integration into ASIC emulation environment
  • Develop scripts and automation to support ASIC emulation and simulation
  • Work cross functionally with platform users to debug emulation issues
  • Be able to explain document & share creative solutions to difficult problems

Qualifications :

Required:

  • BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 515 years of experience working in or around presilicon development

Desired Skills:

  • Expertise with Emulation speed bridges
  • Expertise with Cadence Siemens and/or Synopsys emulators
  • Expertise with emulators and how to debug system level problems
  • Familiarity with IP blackbox implementation in emulation environment
  • Familiarity with Host interfaces ex. PCIe UFS USB SD
  • Familiarity with peripheral interfaces ex. UART JTAG I2C HSSTP etc.
  • Experience working in Linux and Windows environments
  • Expertise in tcl
  • Emulation development working in crossfunctional teams: There are dedicated engineers for development but knowing how to optimize hardware in a large deployment
  • Understanding of FW development process and how that intersects with ASIC development and FPGA design
