Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the design development and support of new or existing SSD Firmware features 
  • Design implement validate and maintain firmware components to support products using bestpractice development methodologies
  • Design and develop test cases for firmware features being implemented
  • Design develop and implement tools to improve Firmware debug/test capabilities and analytics.
  • Participate in design meetings test planning sessions and code reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal and cross functional teams to derive innovative quality firmware solutions
  • Document findings in bug tracking system create and update web pages for sharing information and create slides for communication of ideas.

Qualifications :

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelors degree in computer systems engineering or equivalent engineering degree
  • Strong programming Skill (C/C) required
  • Strong scripting languages such as Python Perl etc.
  • Programming hardware devices through control registers
  • Debugging both new hardware and new firmware using oscilloscopes logic analyzers protocol analyzers
  • Using bestpractice firmware engineering principles

PREFERRED:

  • Embedded system development is a plus 

SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in English both spoken and written is required
  • Knowledge of structured code development methods and debug techniques
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies
  • Ability to solve problems as part of multisite organization and cross functional team
  • Ability to provide timely scheduling and resource information to team leads and managers and meet scheduled commitments
