Job Description
The role of tribology engineer is to set up or develop component media mechanical interface test to simulate hard disk drive reliability performance. It is crucial to assist media R&D team to develop reliable tribology design.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct advanced tribological testing and analysis using stateoftheart equipment and methodologies
- Design and implement experimental procedures to evaluate friction wear and lubrication in complex mechanical systems
- Analyze test data using statistical software and develop comprehensive technical reports
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate tribological insights into product development and optimization
- Present findings and recommendations to diverse audiences including management and global teams
- Contribute to the development of new testing methods and equipment to enhance tribological analysis capabilities
Qualifications :
REQUIRED:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical & Electronic Mechatronics Physics or related field with proven experience in tribologyrelated testing and analysis
PREFERRED:
- Experience in Semiconductor or Hard Disk Drive industry is an added advantage
SKILLS:
- Proficient in data analysis by using statistical software ( eg JMP minitab )
- Excellent in problem solving skill with detail orientated and analytical approach
- Outstanding communication skill including the ability to present technical information effectively
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fastpaced and innovative environment
- Proficient in both verbal and written English
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office application
