Qantas Ground Services (QGS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Qantas Airways and were responsible for providing ground handling services to the Qantas Freight Australias largest independent air freight services business and has seen continuous growth. 

As Freight Ground Crew you will work in different areas of the Freight department including Domestic and International looking after our customers freight. You could be moving anything from beloved pets and animals to machinery dangerous goods and packages.  

On a daytoday basis you would be responsible for the significant manual handling of freight where your duties include loading and unloading of aircraft. You will be operating forklifts tugs and heavy machinery. Additionally youll operate computer systems scanners and lodging of freight documents into the Warehouse System (iCargo). Working together with your supervisors and managers you will have the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills while progressing your career. 

Youll have: 

• A current and valid provisional or full state or territory drivers license 
• A current and valid forklift license or willing to obtain at your own expense 
• The ability to repetitively lift items up to 32 kgs in weight  
• The ability to work all shifts in our dynamic 24hour 7dayaweek rotational shift roster (meaning shifts will vary from week to week)  
• Ability to successfully pass a preemployment medical (Qantas funded) 
• Previous experience using a forklift in a warehouse environment is preferred  
• Recent experience in a manual handling or physical role within a fastpaced operational environment preferred 
• A passion for safety and working within Work Health & Safety guidelines at all times  
• Ability to work effectively within a team  
• A hardworking nature and a positive can do attitude  
• Displays care and responsibility for our customers freight
