We are currently looking for Application Engineer to join our growing team in one of the biggest European organizations in law enforcement.
Your tasks:
- Application installation configuration and administration in production and nonproduction environments;
- Application monitoring performance tuning and continuous improvement of the efficiency and quality of service;
- Performing applications support and maintenance activities such as incident change release and problem resolution;
- Writing and validating application procedures manuals including troubleshooting guides backup and restore plans;
- Automate administrative procedures for recurring system administration activities and provide installation and technical support documentation where required;
- Contributing to the structuring maintenance and development of the technical knowledgebase supporting the ICT Operations activities;
- Reporting on application availability performance capacity and overall usage where required.

Who are you:
Mandatory:
- Bachelors degree plus a minimum of 9 years of experience working as an IT professional in mid/large IT infrastructure environments including deployment support and maintenance of applications.
- Working knowledge of English (level B2 or higher)
- More than 6 years working as an IT professional in mid/large IT infrastructure environments including deployment support and maintenance of applications.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience with administration and support of recent operating system versions of Microsoft Windows Servers and/or RedHat Linux on enterprise environments.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working as an IT professional in the area of application administration support and configuration.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience with DevOps and automated deployment and configuration scripting (e.g. git Azure DevOps Python);
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with configuration management tools for applications (e.g. Puppet)
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in Kubernetes cluster management and migration
- Excellent knowledge of Linux and Windows serverside operating system support and maintenance (RHEL * Windows 2019).
- Excellent knowledge of Linux and Windows serverside application administration and troubleshooting.
- Excellent knowledge of application containerization packaging and deployment on Kubernetes clusters (helm charts operators pipelines).
- Good Knowledge of configuration management concepts and technologies (e.g. Puppet)
- Good knowledge of DevOps principles and best practices (version control automation pipelines improve efficiency feedback loops fail fast etc.)
- Knowledge of ITIL including the incident change and release management processes
- Certification: Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
Desirable:
- Certification: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
