Job Description

Your opportunity:
KM Property Funds with $500m in funds under management and a portfolio spread across Australia is a growing business and are looking for a Property Fund Accountant to join our finance team based in Melbourne CBD. With a wide range of responsibilities this diverse and exciting role could be your next opportunity.

About the role:

As a Property Fund Accountant at KM Property Funds you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of a growing property investment portfolio. Working within a small dynamic team you will provide comprehensive accounting and financial reporting services across multiple property funds.

This diverse and exciting role offers a great opportunity to contribute to the success of a rapidly expanding business while further developing your expertise in property and fund accounting.

What will you be doing

  • Accounting and financial reporting support for a portfolio of property funds
  • Investor distribution payment administration and liaise with external registry
  • Modelling forecasting scenario and cashflow planning
  • Maintaining investment and tax registers and documentation
  • Treasury administration including KYC/ AML/ CTF and debt compliance
  • Accounting policy and procedure update and compliance sign off and reconciliations
  • Assisting the team with reporting research and analysis as required

About you:

  • Hold a Bachelor degree in Accounting or similar
  • Be CAANZ or CPA qualified
  • Advanced Excel and modelling skills
  • Real estate and Fund accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards and application
  • Management reporting and analysis skills
  • Good knowledge of tax compliance requirements in Australia
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics FinOps and Financial Reporter and MYOB
  • Experience with Argus and Estate Master or similar financial modelling programs looked upon favourably
  • Work well with stakeholders management banks external service providers custodian registry auditors and tax accountants
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and growing workplace
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Flexibility to work on projects and manage workload to external and internal deadlines
