Job Description

The role

 

We have one of the worlds leading litigation and dispute resolution (L&DR) practices specialising in complex multijurisdictional litigation international arbitration and regulatory investigations around the globe. Our team in Australia is one of the countrys leading litigation and dispute resolution teams and has overseen many of the most complex corporate cases and arbitrations in the market in recent years.

Our team in Perth is seeking a highly motivated Paralegal on a fulltime basis though parttime requests may also be considered.  The successful candidate will assist the team on a variety of complex construction disputes and international arbitrations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a range of legal and administrative support to Partners lawyers and other legal professionals across the L&DR team.
  • Assisting wit preparation of Court documents and attending to filing of Court documents.
  • Assisting with preparation of Briefs to Counsel and delivery of Briefs.
  • Legal research including preparation of legal memoranda.
  • Assisting with document management and discovery processes
  • Proofreading documents including legal forms for accuracy.

Qualifications :

Your experience

 

  • The ideal candidate will have some legal exposure including potentially working towards obtaining legal qualifications preferably having completed at least 1 year of legal studies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong legal research skills including familiarity with Relativity and other legal databases.
  • Experienced with MS Office Suite and comfort with use of IT systems in a professional environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills.
