Security EngineerAnalyst

The Tessenderlo Groups global ICT department seeks a Security Engineer/Analyst to enhance the safeguarding of its computer networks ICT applications and infrastructure. This role involves a split of approximately 70% engineering tasks and 30% analysis work. Together with a talented team of security engineers and analysts that demonstrate superb technical competency delivering mission critical network infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability performance and security you:

• Monitor computer networks for security issues using advanced security tools.
• Implement security tools and solutions according the defined security roadmap.
• Operate & administer  the security tools and solutions in place.
• Investigate security breaches and other cyber security incidents.
• Document security breaches and assess the damage they cause.
• Work with the security architect to advance our capabilities and integrate existing security tooling.
• Provide advice to ICT department on security matters and help enforce our corporate security policies and standards
• Recommend on how to fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a highsecurity standard.
• Research security enhancements and make recommendations to management.
• Collaborate with colleagues from other ICT competence teams in global projects.
• Keep abreast with information technology trends and security standards.
• Keep documentation on security solutions and tooling up to date.
• Create and maintain operational security procedures.

You report to the Global Network & Security Team Lead.

Qualifications :

• Minimum Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field or equivalent by experience.
• Big appetite to learn about information security technologies and ways of working is more important than experience.
• Minimum 35 years of experience as Network/System Administrator experienced in a selection of below technical skills
• A good general technical background in common technologies is recommended as well as:
  • Entrylevel experience in security.
  • Good understanding of firewalls proxies email security antivirus solutions Active Directory Azure/o365 and different operating systems e.g. Windows Linux types of Hypervisors.
  • Some understanding of Siem vulnerability management IDS/IPS and security analytics concepts.
  • Fundamental scripting knowledge in PowerShell and/or Python
  • Basic risk assessment skills.
• Strong analytical skills to combine data of various sources to one enterprisewide and understandable model.
• Team player open to collaborate within an multicultural and global context with good communication skills in DutchEnglish or FrenchEnglish both written and verbally.
• With your proactive and entrepreneurial approach you keep on spotting opportunities for optimization and take the initiative to formulate structural solutions.
• Willing to travel occasionally mainly in Europe.
