Job Description
Nights 7P7A one weekend every 4 and 2 holidays per year winter and summer.
The Clinical Admission Nurse reflects the mission vision and values of NM adheres to the organizations Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program and complies with all relevant policies procedures guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as an access point resource for physicians staff and patients.
- Assists with the most appropriate level of care and admission status.
- Applies approved criteria and guidelines in decision making as well as managed care rules and practices.
- Ensures a smooth admission experience for patients by coordinating clinical needs with operational processes and insurance benefits.
Qualifications :
Required:
- At least two to five years patient care experience in a hospital setting
- Ability to multitask and process multifactoral stimulation accurately
- BSN required for all new hires as of 1/1/2011
- LIC RN
Preferred:
- Past experience in admissions utilization review activities discharge planning and/or case management
