Job Description

moleko a leading producer of sulfurbased specialty chemistries is looking for an experienced selfmotivated account manager with hunter mentality to win new customers within the power and oil & gas industries. The incumbent will take over a developing existing territory focusing on ammonium bisulfite chemicals used as oxygen scavengers within industrial boiler systems and the oil & gas industry. Emphasis will be on landing new businesses identifying strategic distribution partners and growing market share. Over 50% of the role will focus on new business development/product introduction.

What you will do:

  • A proven track record of identifying new potential markets for selling products and developing lists of potential prospects (a go get it mentality).
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with a deep understanding of oxygen scavenger processes and value chain.
  • Comfort working with CRM and various data management tools (e.g. Power BI).
  • Previous experience in the oil & gas industry is preferred.
  • Management of distribution partners is a plus.
  • Membership within industry associations and/or a strong network with industry influencers is an asset.
  • A proactive problemsolving and customercentric style.
  • Provide appropriate quotations/proposals to gain and retain business.
  • Clearly communicate with moleko management by providing appropriate oral and/or written reports on product markets opportunities threats or issues.  
  • Provide data and information as needed to support the annual budgeting process and ongoing performance dialogs/reviews.
  • Represent the company in a professional manner including attending trade shows and participating in other industry events.

Qualifications :

What we need from you:

  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in sales within the power or oil & gas industries.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities with the confidence to close new businesses and develop current accounts.
  • Willingness to travel and work in industrial environments adhering to stringent safety protocols.
  • Must be comfortable working alone; must be selfmotivated.
  • MS Office expertise required; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Willing to travel at least 50% of the time.
  • Exhibit an entrepreneurial mindset by demonstrating a forwardthinking growthoriented approach by identifying new markets and opportunities for product introduction with a strong focus on growing business and building strategic partnerships.
  • Lead with resilience and positivity by being persistent and solutionfocused overcoming challenges while keeping a customerfirst attitude.
  • Acts with Integrity and accountability through clear open and honest communication while consistently following through on commitments always acting with professionalism and high ethical standards. 

Physical Requirements:
Capable of visiting a chemical plant environment and wearing any/all required PPE (glasses hard hat work boots respirator).
