What you will be doing

As a (Senior) Project Manager at Roland Berger focusing on automotive you will collaborate closely with Casper Veenman senior partner at Roland Berger who has advised clients both in the Netherlands and abroad for many years accumulating a wealth of knowledge and experience in the national and international automotive industry. You will play a vital role within the team with the added responsibility of contributing to business development efforts as a result of which you will have the potential to build a robust presence and reputation among the global automotive community. The automotive industry is constantly evolving due to technological advancements changes in consumer preferences regulatory requirements and global economic trends. As a (Senior) Project Manager at Roland Berger you will:

  • Take the lead for modules in larger projects and complete project management of smaller projects (typically leading three to five consultants) with a specific focus on automotive. 

  • Take an active role in business development efforts. 

  • Coach and develop the consultants in your project teams. 

  • Have direct client contact and lead presentations during client meetings. 

  • Work closely with industry experts at Roland Berger. 

  • Contribute to Roland Bergers knowledge development by capturing insights and drawing lessons from client work. 

  • Participate in officewide projects (e.g. indepth studies on current topics) that further develop Roland Berger or its thinking in a specific area or sector.

Do you recognize yourself in the following qualifications competencies and skills

  • You have completed an academic university education (i.e. WO). 

  • You have between seven and ten years of experience in (strategy) consulting with a focus on automotive being highly preferred and/or experience in a strategic or operational role within the automotive industry. Prior experience in strategic projectbased work is required. 

  • You have experience managing others and delegating work to more junior team members.  

  • You are familiar with/experienced in (financial) modeling (Microsoft Excel) visualizing presentations (Microsoft PowerPoint) and storytelling. 

  • You can think analytically and structure arguments clearly. 

  • You work with precision. 

  • You are openminded. 

  • You have good oral written and presentation skills and an excellent command of English and Dutch.

Application process

The application process consists of three parts. Firstly a selective cognitive assessment that is conducted online and monitored via Microsoft Teams. If you complete the assessment with a satisfactory result you will be invited to the First round of interviews. This round includes two case interviews and a personal interview.

Following a positive outcome from these interviews candidates will progress to the Final Day. The Final Day involves two (case) interviews with different Partners and/or Principals as well as a written case with a presentation component. At the conclusion of the Final Day you will receive feedback on the outcome of your application process.
