Join our team as Host/Hostess and become one of the authors of our story. The Host is a vital member of the service team they are responsible for controlling the bookings of the restaurant providing a warm welcome to all guests as they enter the building checking them in through the reservation system escorting the guests to their table answering the phone making reservations maintaining accurate status updates throughout service and a sincere farewell. The ideal candidate will exude warmth be outgoing professional and have a strong ability to multitask. As well as work in a teamoriented highvolume fastpaced guestcentric environment.
Key responsibilities include:
Welcome guests with warm hospitality at all times.
Maintain and uphold all brand and Mayflower standards to the highest levels of excellence.
Ensure workspaces are clean tidy and organized.
Correct music/lighting levels for guests accurate and presentable menus are delivered to tables.
Build up and develop strong relationships with regular guests hotel guests and your peers.
Ensure phone etiquette is in place at all times and guest messages are answered promptly.
Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
Resolve guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction and involving management as needed.
Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
Liaise with all departments to ensure clear and concise communication on all reports functions and guest notes for the day.
Qualifications :
Must be able to communicate in English fluently and in a professional manner
Exhibit phone etiquette organizational skills basic computer knowledge (incl. reservations management system) and food/wine service knowledge.
Requires the ability to multitask work efficiently and within a team environment.
Must be available to work all shifts; to include day swing weekdays weekends and holidays.
Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required at present or in the future for this position at all times.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Responsible Beverage certification
ServSafe certification or equivalent
