Job Description

Link Solutions is seeking a Telecommunications Specialist to join our team in support of the US Armys Network Enterprise Center at Fort Leonard Wood MO.  

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Secret Clearance required
  • Nonremote (relocation incentive available)

The Telecommunications Specialist will oversee and optimize the performance and functionality of the telecommunications systems in support of the Network Enterprise Center (NEC) in Fort Leonard Wood MO. Job Responsibilities: 

  •  Perform administrative O&M functions and routines required for the telephone switching equipment voice mail system and firewall. 
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting. 
  • Perform customer features and activate and deactivate voice mail accounts. 
  • Work with government customers to identify needs or opportunities for improvement. 
  • Ensure assigned tickets are addressed with government clients. 
  • Update/maintain all ISP and remote communications facilities final drawings. 
  • Validate installation communications and cable drawings and submit redline changes.  
  • Maintenance of telephone poles manholes handholds and outside terminals. 
  • Install deinstall maintain repair and test multipleconductor aerial underground and buried communications cable to include coaxial fiber optics and copper/conventional cable. 
  • Provide cable audits of manholes handholes pedestals communications closets MDF and IDF.

Qualifications :

  • US Citizen.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
  • IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security CE equivalent or higher).
  • Five (5) years experience in telecommunications infrastructure facility design and installation. 
  • Knowledge and experience of BICSI rules regulations and standards. 
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and industry standards and practices. 
  • Knowledge of Avaya Switches. 
  • Experience with MS Office Suite. 

Preferred:

  • Active secret clearance.
  • BA/BS degree in Engineering Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
  • Avaya Switch training and certification.
  • Experience providing DoD organizations with technical support.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment and overseeing government programs.
  • Able to multitask prioritize and manage time efficiently 
  • Accurate and precise attention to detail. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Excellent analytical quantitative and organizational skills. 


Additional Information :

This position is contingent upon the successful acquisition of the government contract and the completion of ongoing negotiations. We anticipate these processes will be completed within the next several weeks at which time interviews and offers will be extended upon successful contract award.
