Job Description
- Prepare tissue samples by fixing staining dying trimming and other methods
- Identify and document technical issues quality assurance and procedural improvements
- Use maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and keep a clean disinfected workspace
- Receive log and document patient specimens and accompanying forms
- Responsible for Mohs Histo inventory
Qualifications :
- The person should be certified by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists as a histotechnician or histotechnologist
- Experience working in a lab is preferred as this is a critical part of the job
- Ability to work independently and with other team members
Job Type:
- Parttime
Experience:
- Minimum of 1year current Histology experience (Required)
- Mohs Surgery experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate
Education:
- High School Diploma
Certifications/Licenses:
- HT or HTL ASCP certified preferred
Pay:
Pay starts at $30.00 per hour and increases based on years of experience
