We are seeking a skilled and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work with individuals with communication disorders, helping them improve their speech and language skills to enhance their quality of life. In this role, you will assess and diagnose communication disorders, develop and implement treatment plans, and provide ongoing support and therapy to clients. Responsibilities
Assess and diagnose communication disorders in individuals of all ages
Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual needs and goals
Provide therapy and support to individuals with speech and language disorders
Document client progress and maintain detailed records
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
Educate and train family members and caregivers on communication strategies and techniques
Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in the field of speech-language pathology
Patient Assessment:
Evaluate speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing abilities in patients of all ages.
Use standardized tests, observation, and patient interviews to diagnose communication disorders.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and patient needs.
Therapeutic Intervention:
Provide therapy to improve speech clarity, language comprehension, and communication effectiveness.
Teach techniques for managing fluency issues such as stuttering.
Implement strategies to strengthen oral-motor functions for patients with swallowing difficulties.
Utilize alternative communication methods (e.g., sign language, AAC devices) for non-verbal patients.
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field
Valid state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology
Proven experience working with individuals with communication disorders
Strong knowledge of speech and language development
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
Knowledge of assistive technology and alternative communication methods is a plus.
Proficiency in administering and interpreting standardized speech and language assessments.
Familiarity with speech therapy tools, assistive devices, and AAC technologies.
Knowledge of therapeutic techniques for a range of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Soft Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Empathy, patience, and the ability to motivate patients during therapy.
Organizational skills to manage caseloads and maintain detailed documentation.
