General Summary
The Building Automation Technician (BAT) is responsible for monitoring various critical hospital systems initiating emergency codes (Blue BERT OB STAT RRT etc) taking telephone calls from staff physicians visitors and patients and dispatching calls for service to various departments. The BAT ensures 24hour coverage of the department and communicates regularly with hospital leadership staff visitors and patients.
