Job Summary:
As a Welder you will be responsible for performing various welding techniques to join metal parts together according to specifications and blueprints. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and be able to work with different types of metal.
Key Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints sketches and specifications to determine the appropriate welding techniques
Set up and operate welding equipment and tools including MIG TIG and arc welders
Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding by using various cleaning methods such as grinding sanding and chemical baths
Perform welding techniques such as MIG TIG and arc welding to join metal parts together
Inspect completed welds for quality and make any necessary repairs or adjustments
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
Maintain welding equipment and tools reporting any issues or malfunctions to the supervisor
Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and to meet quality standards
Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
Continuously seek to improve skills and knowledge in welding techniques and equipment.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience as a Welder
Knowledge of different welding techniques including MIG TIG and arc welding
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
Familiarity with welding tools and equipment
Strong attention to detail and quality
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Good communication and problemsolving skills
Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials.
Working Conditions:
This is a fulltime permanent position located in England UK. The working hours are typically Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with occasional overtime as needed. The job may require standing for extended periods working in various weather conditions and lifting heavy objects. Personal protective equipment will be provided.
