**CANDIDATES NEED TO BE ABLE TO START ASAP** MUST HAVE STRONG LDRP EXPERIENCE Rotating/3x12s Nights POSITION PURPOSE: Two to three sentences describing the overall purpose of the position. This position is responsible for caring for antepartum patients laboring patients through childbirth recovery and postpartum lactation education and assistance providing family centered care including the well newborn and the Level 2 Nursery. Assure expert compassion individualize nursing care for patients and families expected. They collaborate with providers staff and other members of the team to achieve optimal patient outcomes. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Maximum of ten functions in order of percentage of time spent on functions from longest to shortest; do not list anything that does not represent at least 10% of the job s time. Please include supervisory responsibilities. 1.Oversees the daily patient flow to optimize patientcare safety and satisfaction. 2. Demonstratesability to triage incoming patient requests for services. 3. Delivers patienteducation to facilitate plan of care employer informed healthcare choices andpromote optimal wellness. 4. Demonstratesability to delegate care appropriately and according to Colorado statue. 5. Demonstratescompetent healthcare assessment skills prioritizing skills and criticalthinking skills. 6. Demonstratesability to handle high telephone volume of patient requests for medicationsinformation and assistance. 7. Administersmedications performs treatments and assists in procedures as needed;consistently adhering to patient safety guidelines. 8. Coordinates patientcare with other physician practices Vail Health and others as needed toachieve the highest possible level of patient care and satisfaction. 9. Demonstrates abilityto work independently with minimal supervision. 10. Delivers excellentservice by utilizing RelationshipBased Care to advocate for safety patientpreferences and optimal communication through partnering with patients andfamilies. 11. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Requirements Required and/or Preferred Experience: o Oneyear clinical experience required. License(s): o Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado or from a valid compact state required. Certification(s): o Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required. Computer / Typing: o Must possess or be able to obtain within 90 days the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for jobspecific competencies access online forms and policies complete online benefits enrollment etc. Must have working knowledge of the English language including reading writing and speaking English. Education: o Minimum of Associate Nursing Degree for positions hired after 07/01/2018. PHYSICAL DEMANDS It is common to encounter potential hazards in the healthcare environment. Ability to care for oneself; perform manual tasks; see speak breath learn read concentrate think communicate and work are essential to perform this role in the organization.
