Roles and responsibilities

We are looking for a careful Forklift Operator to move packages and material around our facilities. You will be operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety. Your job could involve driving around warehouses, storage spaces and other facilities.

You must be a responsible individual with great experience in driving industrial vehicles. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be in the right place to achieve maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities

Unload materials and merchandise from incoming vehicles and stack them to assigned places
Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment
Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
Transport raw materials to production workstations
Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities
Forklift Operation and Material Handling:

Operate a forklift to transport, load, unload, and stack materials, goods, and products within the warehouse or production area.
Move products to and from storage areas, assembly lines, or shipping docks, ensuring items are placed in the correct locations.
Safely handle materials such as pallets, crates, or boxes, following proper procedures to avoid damage or injury.
Loading and Unloading Shipments:

Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks or containers using the forklift, ensuring that all items are securely and correctly positioned.
Verify that the contents of shipments match packing lists, purchase orders, or shipping instructions.
Help with palletizing, wrapping, and preparing materials for shipping when required.

Desired candidate profile

Proven experience as forklift operator
Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
Excellent physical condition and coordination
Valid certification to operate forklifts
High school diploma
Ability to safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
Basic understanding of warehouse operations, including material handling, storage methods, and shipping procedures.
Proficient in basic math to track inventory, count items, and manage load weights.
Familiarity with safety regulations and protocols related to warehouse operations and forklift use.
Soft Skills:

Strong attention to detail to ensure materials are handled correctly and accurately.
Good communication skills to coordinate with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
Strong problem-solving skills to resolve issues related to inventory or equipment during operations.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing workloads and schedules.
