Roles and responsibilities

We are seeking a talented and experienced Land Surveyor to join our team. As a Land Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in surveying and measuring land to determine boundaries, locations, and other important features. You will be responsible for conducting surveys, collecting data, and creating detailed maps and reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of surveying principles and techniques, as well as excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Conduct land surveys using various surveying equipment and techniques
Collect and analyze survey data, including measurements and other relevant information
Create detailed maps and reports based on survey findings
Identify and mark property boundaries and land features
Collaborate with engineers, architects, and construction teams to provide accurate survey data for design and construction projects
Assist in the development of survey plans and strategies
Maintain and calibrate surveying equipment, ensuring accuracy and functionality
Conduct Land Surveys:

Measure land features using a range of instruments such as GPS, total stations, and theodolites.
Conduct boundary surveys to determine land ownership, property lines, and easements.
Prepare and verify the accuracy of survey reports, maps, and legal documents.
Prepare Survey Documents:

Create detailed survey reports, including maps and drawings, to present findings.
Maintain precise records of fieldwork, measurements, and calculations for future reference.
Prepare land descriptions for deeds, contracts, and legal documents.
Analyze Survey Data:

Analyze survey data to determine the location of land features and assess changes in topography.
Perform calculations related to land area, volume, and elevation for construction or legal purposes.
Use software tools to process survey data and create maps or digital models of the surveyed land.

Desired candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or a related field
Professional license/certification as a Land Surveyor
Minimum of 3 years of experience working as a Land Surveyor
Strong knowledge of surveying principles and techniques
Proficiency in using surveying equipment and software, such as total stations and GPS
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Strong knowledge of surveying techniques and the use of measurement equipment.
Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation of survey results.
Ability to prepare detailed maps, reports, and legal documents.
Familiarity with GIS software, GPS equipment, and other surveying technologies.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills to process complex data.
