Under the direct supervision of the Proving Ground Operations and Safety Manager the Proving Ground Track Controller is responsible for supervising the activity on the test tracks from the Controller Suite to guarantee the security of the Proving Ground users.
The Proving Ground Track Controller is responsible for activating the AccidentEmergency Protocol and coordinating the rescue teams in the event of an accident on the Proving Ground.
The duties and responsibilities of the Proving Ground Track Controller are as follows:
- Comply with the surveillance programme established by the Proving Ground Operations and Safety Manager supervise from the Controller Suite the compliance of the Driving and Safety Regulations of all Proving Ground users.
- Report any breaches detected to be able to take the relevant corrective measures with the offenders.
- Regulate the access for all users of all the test facilities on the proving ground.
- Maintain permanent radio communication with all Proving Ground users in order to report incidents special reservations exclusives events etc.
- Manage the equipment that is installed on the Proving Ground: access barriers variable information systems traffic signals irrigation systems weather stations etc.
- In the event of an accident activate the Proving Ground AccidentEmergency Protocol coordinate and support the participating internal and external emergency teams.
- Any other task assigned by company management or Operations and Safety Manager.
Qualifications :
The profile to be fulfilled by the Proving Ground Track Controller are as follows:
- The minimum qualification required is Vocational Training FPII.
- Previous experience as a PG Track Controller is valued but it is not required.
- IDIADA will provide a complete onsite training to qualify the new staff
- Knowledge of foreign languages at minimum fluent English in order to maintain a fluid communication with clients using a radio communication system
- User level computer skills (MS Office applications).
Other requirements
- IDIADA Proving Ground is open 24 hours/day 7 days/week allround the year
- This position requires the candidate to agree to work at rotating morning afternoon evening or central shifts
