Job Description
The Office of Asylum Seeker Operations (OASO) is leading New York Citys response to and service provision for the influx of asylum seekers. New York Citys response is unique throughout the nation and includes complex services for asylum seekers including but not limited to legal supports advocacy shelter education workforce training clothing and food donations and collaboration with faithbased and communitybased organizations.
OASO coordinates between agencies makes sure that agencies have the resources they need and manages the Citys advocacy to the state and federal governments. OASO also leads strategic planning for the Citys response including longterm planning and policy drafting.
The Office of Asylum Seeker Operations (OASO) is recruiting for one (1) IT Project Specialist to function as Data Analyst who will:
Collaborate with senior leadership to identify technology needs opportunities and challenges to enhance program effectiveness.
Collaborate with external partners vendors and technology providers and city data to leverage their expertise and resources effectively.
Evaluate potential technology solutions conduct vendor assessments and negotiate contracts to meet program requirements.
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders including and other City and government agencies.
Help to design and maintain the programs overall technology infrastructure ensuring scalability reliability and security.
Oversee the development and integration of software systems to support program operations such as new facility and program design and onboarding housing management and case management.
Manage software development projects from requirements gathering and solution design to implementation testing and deployment.
Ensure timely delivery of highquality software solutions leveraging effective project management techniques.
Establish data governance practices and oversee the management and utilization of program data effectively.
Develop data analytics capabilities to derive insights monitor program performance and inform decisionmaking processes.

Qualifications :
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science engineering human computer interaction interactive media digital and graphics design data visualization communication or a related field and four years of satisfactory fulltime experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology process methodology and/or domain; or
2. An associate degree from an accredited college in computer science engineering human computer interaction interactive media digital and graphics design data visualization communication or a related field and six years of satisfactory fulltime experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology process methodology and/or domain; or
3. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and eight years of satisfactory fulltime experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology process methodology and/or domain; or
4. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to 1 2 or 3 above.
