Job Description

Experienced Gluer

Position Overview:
An experienced gluer is responsible for assembling materials using adhesive systems ensuring precision and quality in manufacturing processes. This role typically involves working with foam fiber or paper products in a production environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Material Preparation:

    • Prepare and position materials for gluing ensuring they are clean and free of defects.
    • Align components accurately for bonding.
  • Adhesive Application:

    • Operate glue machines or manual adhesive tools such as airassisted spray guns to apply glue evenly.
    • Monitor adhesive consistency and adjust as necessary to maintain quality.
  • Assembly:

    • Bond parts such as foam paper or fabric securely.
    • Use hand tools or mechanical aids to ensure proper fit and finish.
  • Quality Assurance:

    • Inspect finished products for defects or weak bonds.
    • Make necessary corrections to ensure products meet company standards.
  • Equipment Maintenance:

    • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of glue machines or tools.
    • Report any malfunctions or issues to supervisors promptly.
  • Safety Compliance:

    • Adhere to all safety guidelines and wear protective equipment as required.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area to reduce hazards.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a gluing or assembly role preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in operating adhesive application equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to read and follow blueprints or assembly instructions.
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift materials up to 30 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • Fastpaced manufacturing or assembly line setting.
  • Exposure to adhesives and manufacturing equipment; safety training is provided.

Pay Rate:

  • $13 per hour or commensurate with experience.
