Pay:$22.00$28.00/hour DOE (includes shift differential)
Hours:2nd Shift 3:00 PM12:00 AM with overtime as needed

Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of machinery and equipment through scheduled preventative maintenance timely repairs and proactive problemsolving. The role involves diagnosing mechanical electrical and hydraulic issues maintaining detailed records and collaborating with production teams to address equipment needs promptly. The technician will also assist with equipment installations upgrades and modifications ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Essential Functions:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Inspect equipment to identify potential issues and perform necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Maintain detailed maintenance records and prepare reports on equipment performance.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical and hydraulic problems in processing equipment.
- Replace defective parts motors and control systems as needed.
- Collaborate with production staff to address equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Implement equipment upgrades and modifications to enhance performance and efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and parts ordering and restocking as needed.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and update records.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.
- Serve as a backup Refrigeration Technician assuming all related tasks when needed.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations internal policies and operational standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems including troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Proficiency with PLCs frequency controls direct current devices temperature controls and transducers.
- Experience with high voltage AC (480V 220V 120V) low control voltage AC (24V 12V 5V) multivolts AC/DC and multiamps AC/DC.
- Knowledge of meat processing equipment and quality standards preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to read write and communicate effectively in English; knowledge of Spanish is helpful but not required.
- Strong leadership communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced and physically demanding environment.
