Job Description

Clerical Associate IV10251 Open to candidates who are permanent in the civil service title of Clerical Associate or for those individuals who filed for THE NEW YORK CITY BRIDGE EXAM No. 3971 within the filing period From June 7 2023 to July 18 2023 which includes CLERICAL ASSOCIATE. THE TEST DATE: Multiplechoice and Qualifying Education and Experience testing was expected to begin on Monday September 18 2023. In addition other eligible candidates are those who filed for THE NEW YORK CITY BRIDGE EXAM No. 4977 within the filing period From: June 5 2024 To: June 25 2024. Multiplechoice and Qualifying Education and Experience testing is expected to begin on Monday September 16 2024.

Division/Program Summary Description:

The Division of Mental Hygiene (MHy) of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene is responsible for policy programs and provider oversight related to mental health; alcohol and drug use and developmental delays and disabilities. The office of Administrative Services within the Bureau of Mental Hygiene Administration provides all nonprogram support for the Division of Mental Hygiene. Its services include Personnel Budget Procurement Equipment and Facilities Management Operational support.

DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:
Update and maintain contact lists email distribution groups and various data spreadsheets.
Support the creation and updating of divisional organizational charts.
Administer and track the new hire and employee monitoring system.
Manage the Mental Hygiene Exit Interview Survey for departing staff members.
Assist with the onboarding process for new hires.
Contribute to the preparation of quarterly reports for the Divisions Random Moment Time Study (RMTS).
Regularly update and collaborate with Mental Hygiene Operations on Supervisor Hierarchy reports.
Provide HR recruitment support by monitoring SmartRecruiters coordinating candidate communications and scheduling interviews.
Offer clerical and technical assistance to Bureau staff as needed.
Perform additional tasks and duties as assigned on an asneeded basis.

PREFERRED SKILLS:
Have the ability to use Microsoft Office (Word Excel Visio Access and PowerPoint);
Good interpersonal and communication skills; knowledge of City government applications;
Strong organizational skills.

Qualifications :

Qualification Requirements
A fouryear high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a States department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Skills Requirement
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.
