Salary: $48.40 $60.50 per hour

Reporting to the Manager Professional Practice Practicebased Education and the Manager Professional Practice Emergency Department General Internal Medicine Medical Day Unit the Advanced Practice Nurse Educator (APNE) is an integral member of the interdisciplinary leadership team and demonstrates a set of core competencies fundamental to developing and maintaining the academic practice environment at UHN.
The APNE is a member of Emergency Department and PracticeBased Education leadership team supporting the development of the UHNMichener Emergency Nursing program. The APNE demonstrates a set of core competencies fundamental to developing and maintaining the academic practice environment at UHNMichener. The incumbent will work in collaboration with leaders and teams across UHN and Michener to continue the development of the curriculum. Key accountabilities will also include education and staff development interprofessional collaboration scholarly/research activity and leadership/change management. The APNE uses best practices in academic clinical and practicebased education to assess learning needs develop design deliver and evaluate educational programs. The APNE collaborates with others to promote enhanced development and delivery of quality nursing education. The APNE contributes to the scholarship of teaching discovery application and integration of knowledge through research and scholarly work. The APNE leads in the creation of a preferred future for nursing education and professional practice.
