Position:Project Manager 
Site:67 College St 
Department:Research Facilities Planning and Implementation (RFP & I) 
Reports to:Manager 
Salary Range:Commensurate with experience and consistent with UHN Compensation Policy 
Status:PermanentFullTime

As an integral member of the Research Facilities Planning and Implementation (RFP &I) department the Project Manager RFP & I applies knowledge and experience of research environments to orchestrate projects under the direction of the Manager and/or Director. The principal responsibilities include: developing plans to facilitate the cost effective and timely execution of multiple/simultaneous large/small scale construction redevelopment and program development projects for UHN Research; performing grant administration procurement/financial management and human resource management responsibilities of 1 2 employees; performing quality management responsibilities; performing administrative responsibilities leading to the efficient and effective operation of the department; performing crossfunctional and other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned and/or requested. 


Qualifications :

  • At minimum completion of Bachelors Degree in Science or relatedEngineering or related equivalent required 
  • Scientific background and/or training is preferred 
  • Completion of a Project Management Professional (PMP) designation preferred 
  • At least five (5) years experience working in a research lab environment 
  • At least five (5) years related experience in project coordination 
  • At least two (2) years experience in architectural drafting in detailed design an asset 
  • Experience with MS Office and MS Project required 
  • Experience working in a hospital setting an asset 
  • Experience with managing staff preferred 
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills 
  • Excellent analytical skills 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Excellent organization skills 
  • Ability to produce reports and meet scheduling deadlines
