Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Diver Medic to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care health assessments and safety oversight to dive teams in a highstakes environment. The Diver Medic will provide essential emergency medical care and advanced life support to diving teams working in challenging and potentially hazardous environments. This role demands a skilled professional capable of performing thorough medical assessments handling hyperbaric chambers and offering support for offshore and divingrelated emergencies. Strong problemsolving skills experience in highrisk settings and a calm decisive approach to emergency care are essential.
Qualifications :
- Qualified Diver Medic (IMCA recognised certification preferred)
- Commercial Diver Certification (HSE Part 1 or equivalent)
- Qualified as a Defence Trainer from Defence Diving School
- Advanced First Aid/Trauma Management certification (ATLS PHTLS or equivalent)
- Knowledge in the operation of hyperbaric chambers and administering oxygen therapy.
- Offshore Survival / Basic Offshore Safety Induction and Emergency Training (BOSIET)
- Experience in highrisk environments ideally with international deployment
- Strong communication and crisis management skills
Additional Information :
- Administer advanced first aid and medical treatment during diving operations
- Conduct daily health assessments and predive briefings
- Operate and manage hyperbaric chambers and administer decompression treatments as required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain comprehensive medical records treatment logs and inventory of medical supplies.
- Assist with dive equipment inspections and emergency readiness
