Job Description

We are seeking a detailoriented and analytical Planning Engineer to join our team in Warrington United Kingdom. As a Planning Engineer you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of our engineering projects in the water and energy sectors by developing implementing and monitoring project plans. 

  • Develop comprehensive project execution plans schedules and resource allocations
  • Analyse the project requirements and create detailed work breakdown structures
  • Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify all project requirements and agree timescales
  • Utilise planning software (preferably Primavera P6) to produce tender stage programmes
  • Conduct resource forecasting and optimisation to improve project efficiency
  • Assist in the development of project budgets and cost estimates
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards regulations and company policies
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for planning processes

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering (Civil Mechanical or related field)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in engineering industry or related field
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g. Microsoft Project Primavera P6)
  • Strong knowledge of CAD software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word PowerPoint)
  • Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
  • Ability to develop and manage complex project schedules
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Experience in construction or infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of construction methodologies and techniques
  • Understanding of project scheduling and resource allocation principles
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
  • Problemsolving abilities and attention to detail
  • Professional certification in engineering/ project management (e.g. CEng or PMP) is desirable


Additional Information :

Training will be provided in planning software if required.
