Position Summary
Eating Disorder Technician (ED Tech) is responsible for assisting and supporting patients through the entire treatment experience from admission through discharge. ED Tech is responsible for contributing insightful practical and meaningful information to the treatment planning process. ED Tech 1 responsibilities primarily include ensuring patient safety providing milieu interventions leading psychoeducational groups and supporting patients.
Responsibilities
- Supports patient during admission processes. This may include checking in patient belongings acclimating patient to the program and milieu. Completes relevant tasks within 24 hours of admission and accompanying notes in medical record.
- Effectively and professionally communicates with families/loved ones as appropriate.
- Assists and supports patients in daytoday activities including but not limited to: waking routines morning hygiene meals snacks nighttime routine evening hygiene bathroom observations and engaging them in productive activities during free time.
- Provides milieu management throughout the treatment experience and communicates all concerns or observations with relevant team members in a timely fashion to ensure safety centered patient care.
- Assists in the implementation of the comprehensive treatment plan for each patient in the milieu which often change weekly.
- Contributes to the wellbeing of all patients by serving as a positive role model and supporting patients by offering redirection for harmful topics and/or behaviors
- Engages in brief check ins wherein patients are provided with support and guidance in using coping skills.
- Responsible for facilitating psychoeducational groups for the expected length of time identified in the program schedule and submit notes that encapsulate how each patient participated in said groups by the end of each shift.
- Objectively and accurately documents patient progress on a shiftbyshift basis.
- Supports in daily cleaning tasks throughout shift such as: cleaning or putting away dishes wiping counters or tables picking up general clutter sweeping reorganizing of commonly used areas/storage spaces as needed.
- Assists with discharge process as needed.
This fulltime position is inperson at our Granite Bay ED Residential Program. It has a schedule of WednesdaySunday 2pm10pm.

Qualifications :
- One year of experience in mental health treatment OR a Bachelors degree preferred
- Obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire
- Obtain CPR AED and First Aid certification within 90 days of hire
- Obtain ServSafe certification within 90 day of hire
- Must possess a current drivers license and be in good standing
