Job Description

PreLit Auditor

Wilshire Law Firm is a distinguished awardwinning legal practice with 17 years of experience specializing in Personal Injury Employee Rights and Consumer Class Actions. As our PreLit Auditor in the PreLit & Demands department you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of case files and documentation throughout the prelitigation process. You will systematically review case materials identify any discrepancies and collaborate with the team to resolve issues before cases move forward.

Compensation: $25 to $35 (hourly) depending on expereince

Daily Tasks:
  • Review and audit case files and documentation for accuracy completeness and compliance with internal policies and legal standards.
  • Identify discrepancies missing information or errors in case files and work with case managers and legal teams to resolve them.
  • Ensure that all prelitigation processes are followed consistently including the proper collection of evidence and client communications.
  • Track audit findings and provide detailed reports to management on case file status and areas for improvement.
  • Support the team by offering suggestions for improving case management processes and ensuring quality control.
  • Assist with periodic audits to assess departmental efficiency and compliance with industry regulations.

Your Skills:
  • Previous experience in auditing preferably in a legal personal injury or prelitigation setting.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify errors or inconsistencies in case files.
  • Excellent organizational skills capable of managing multiple audits and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with case management software (Litify or similar tools) and document management systems.
  • Strong communication skills able to work collaboratively with attorneys case managers and other team members to resolve issues.
  • Ability to provide clear and constructive feedback to improve processes and ensure case quality.
