Job Description
Ingram Barge is seeking a Welder for our team in Metropolis IL. Whether you are a Certified Welder or just starting Ingram will invest in your training and development for the next level.
This position is responsible for the repair and maintenance of Ingrams fleet of barges. We operate in an environment where flexibility and a willingness to take on new tasks and responsibilities keep things interesting!
What youll be doing:
- Welding/Cutting/Fitting
- Dry docking vessels for hull repair
- Operating forklift
- Operating hydraulic crane
- Firewatch on towing vessels
- Route dock clean up
- Other duties as requested

- Strong communication skills with all levels within the organization
Additional Information :
Candidates must:
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED
- Possess a valid drivers license
- Display excellent communication skills
- Can walk and lift for extended periods
- Can carry more than fifty pounds on a regular basis
- Must be able to read and write the English language to comply with USCG regulatory requirements
