Job Description
Job Title: Lead Teacher
Location: The Grove Childcare Center
Position: FullTime
The Grove Childcare Center is dedicated to providing a nurturing and enriching environment for children to grow and learn in a nature based and STEM focused learning center. Our team is passionate about fostering curiosity creativity and a love for learning in every child. We believe in building strong relationships with families and the community and were looking for a dedicated Lead Teacher to join our team!
Position Overview: As the Lead Teacher you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experiences of our young learners. You will create a stimulating and safe classroom environment develop engaging lesson plans and mentor assistant teachers while collaborating with families to support each childs development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement ageappropriate curriculum and lesson plans.
- Create a positive inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
- Assess and document childrens progress and development.
- Foster strong relationships with families and maintain open communication.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom volunteers.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and licensing regulations.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Valid teaching certification.
- At least 2 years of experience in a childcare or early education setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for working with young children and a commitment to their growth and development.
