Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc)
Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
Make adjustments and minor repairs
Stock and maintain supply rooms
Cooperate with the rest of the staff
Follow all health and safety regulations
Cleaning and Sanitizing:
Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming designated areas within buildings or facilities.
Sanitize high-touch surfaces, such as door handles, light switches, countertops, and restrooms, to maintain hygiene standards.
Empty trash cans and dispose of waste in designated areas.
Restroom Maintenance:
Ensure restrooms are cleaned regularly, restocked with necessary supplies (e.g., toilet paper, soap, paper towels), and maintained in a sanitary condition.
Clean and disinfect sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors in restrooms.
Floor and Carpet Care:
Maintain clean floors by sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming, depending on the surface type.
Clean carpets and upholstery, including spot cleaning and deep cleaning when necessary.
Dusting and Surface Cleaning:
Dust furniture, windowsills, blinds, and light fixtures to maintain cleanliness and prevent dirt accumulation.
Wipe down and sanitize all surfaces, including desks, counters, and tables.
Waste Management:
Collect and dispose of garbage from various locations throughout the building.
Sort recyclables from general waste and ensure proper disposal in accordance with environmental guidelines.
Proven working experience as a cleaner
Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets
Integrity
High school degree
Experience:
Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial services is preferred but not essential.
Experience in a similar role in commercial, residential, or hospitality settings is a plus.
Skills:
Knowledge of cleaning techniques, tools, and products.
Ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
Basic knowledge of handling and using cleaning chemicals safely.
Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in cleaning tasks.
Soft Skills:
Good communication skills, especially for reporting maintenance issues or special requirements.
Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision.
Reliability and punctuality in completing tasks.
