Packing Helper

Roles and responsibilities

As a Packing Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for packing and preparing orders for shipment in a timely manner, ensuring that all products are properly packaged and meet quality standards. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be crucial to the success of our team.

Responsibilities

Pack and prepare orders for shipping, ensuring that all items are packaged securely and accurately.
Verify and inspect incoming and outgoing shipments, checking for damage or defects.
Organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse, ensuring that all products are properly labeled and stored in designated areas.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment as necessary.
Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and ensure customer satisfaction.
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Packing and Labeling:

Pack items securely and neatly to ensure they are protected during transportation or storage.
Label packages accurately with relevant information such as contents, weight, and destination.
Material Handling:

Assist in organizing and preparing packing materials, such as boxes, tapes, and protective padding.
Ensure proper usage of materials to minimize waste.
Loading and Unloading:

Help in loading packed goods onto trucks, containers, or storage areas.
Assist in unloading incoming shipments and organizing items.
Inspection and Quality Control:

Check items for damage or defects before packing.
Ensure the correct quantity and quality of items being packed match the order requirements.

Desired candidate profile

High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous experience in a similar role preferred, but not required.
Ability to lift and carry heavy items, up to [insert weight] pounds.
