Job Description
AHRC NYC is looking to immediately hire Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for Full and Parttime positions in ALL FIVE BOROUGHS. The pay rate for this position is between $17 $19 per hour depending on residence placement and position. Anyone hired at $17 per hour has the potential to be increased to $18 per hour after achieving 6 months of employment in good standing. In addition this position comes with a very generous benefit package....see Benefits below.
(40hr) 3pm11pm & 7am3pm positions Drivers License Required
(40hr & 30hr) 11pm9am positions Drivers License NOT Required.

- The oversight of all safety and health considerations
- Promoting skill development interests and hobbies
- Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)
- Other personalized responsibilities including cooking cleaning hygiene etc.
Qualifications :
- Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.
- Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST!
- Willingness to support peoples preferences for community activities work leisure activities the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.
- Ability to use a computer for data entry.
- High school education/GED preferred.
