Job Description
Black & Grey HR is hiring for a dynamic construction company in KSA. Our client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for leading the design implementation and management of mechanical systems in the clients construction projects. This role involves ensuring that all mechanical systems including HVAC plumbing and fire protection meet design specifications safety standards and project timelines. The Senior Mechanical Engineer provides technical expertise oversees project execution and ensures seamless collaboration with other engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
Developing detailed mechanical designs and specifications for HVAC plumbing and fire protection systems.
Reviewing and approving mechanical drawings material submittals and technical documents.
Ensuring designs comply with project requirements industry standards and local regulations.
Collaborating with architects structural engineers and electrical engineers to integrate mechanical systems into overall designs.
Providing technical guidance to project teams and contractors during installation and commissioning phases.
Monitoring project progress while addressing any design or execution challenges.
Conducting inspections of mechanical installations to ensure adherence to approved designs and quality standards.
Identifying and resolving nonconformances and recommending corrective actions.
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in all mechanical works.
Assisting in preparing project budgets and cost estimates for mechanical systems.
Optimizing resource allocation to ensure costefficiency without compromising quality.
Coordinating with procurement teams to source mechanical materials and equipment.
Overseeing testing and commissioning of mechanical systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
Addressing any issues identified during commissioning and ensuring timely resolution.
Preparing detailed commissioning reports and asbuilt documentation.
Maintaining accurate records of mechanical designs inspections and modifications.
Preparing and submitting progress reports highlighting challenges solutions and milestones to the Projects Manager.
Contributing to the preparation of technical manuals and maintenance guidelines for mechanical systems.
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering; A master s degree is an advantage.
Minimum of 810 years of experience in mechanical engineering with a focus on construction projects.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certifications are preferred.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD Revit Autodesk SketchUp and Adobe Creative Suite.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems materials and installation techniques.
Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
Leadership and mentoring skills to guide project teams and junior engineers.
Attention to detail and accuracy in mechanical designs and documentation.
Problemsolving abilities to address technical challenges effectively.
Excellent communication skills for collaboration with crossdisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Timemanagement and organizational skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
