Install resolve repair and maintain fiber optic systems to ensure proper functionality.
Ensure optical power levels at enclosures meet company standards.
Examine troubleshoot and replace faulty or outdated fiber optic cables.
Perform fiber splicing core alignment and splice quality validation using the appropriate tools and techniques.
Execute pointofbreak/link analysis and rectify fiber optic issues efficiently.
Undertake underground and surface cabling requirements including premises cabling installations.
Organize and manage scheduled maintenance routines for fiber optic systems.
Prepare and maintain accurate system records and diagrams.
Work at heights including climbing telecommunication towers and KPLC poles to perform necessary tasks.
Support LAN networks SOHO systems and radio wireless communication setups.
Ensure compliance with safety standards including working in confined spaces and varying weather conditions.
BSc or Diploma in Electronic/Electrical/Telecommunication Engineering or a related field.
Training and certification in Optical Fiber Technology.
Minimum 3 years experience in fiber maintenance repair and troubleshooting.
Proven track record in analyzing trends root cause analysis and improving network availability and service quality.
Proficiency in fiber optic maintenance tools and techniques.
Ability to perform fiber splicing core alignment and quality validation.
Knowledge of LAN networks SOHO systems and radio wireless communication is an added advantage.
Strong troubleshooting planning and organizational skills.
Competence in Microsoft Office Suite for documentation and reporting.
Must be certified to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Customerfocused with excellent problemsolving skills.
Driving license of a car or motorcycle is required
