Job Description
What will you be doing
As a Fire Engineer you will join a team in Derby/ Warrington to support our activities within the Nuclear Sector.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Prepare Fire Safety Strategies Documents for sites or buildings (preferably industrial facilities)
- Fire Protection Basis of Design
- Analyse building designs and layouts to incorporate effective fire protection systems
- ALARP demonstrations or FRAs studies (Fire Risk Assessment) to identify fire hazards and vulnerabilities
- Codes and Standards Suitability Analysis (i.e. BS 9999 BS 476 BS 7974 NFPA codes IFC EN 54 series IAEA safety standards etc)
- Gap Management Reports
- Design documentation for fire systems (requirements system design descriptions P&IDs equipment lists equipment sizing calculations)
Who are we looking for
- Familiarity with fire standards and safety regulations. Preferably for the power sector
- Ability to analyse complex problems propose innovative solutions and ensure designs meet project specifications and standards

Qualifications :
Experience skills and qualifications required:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in mechanical chemical engineering or a related field with a specialisation in fire engineering
- Proven experience in fire engineering scope preferably within the energy sector
- Knowledge of fire codes standards and regulatory frameworks
