The purpose of this job is to under moderate supervision prepare and file federal state and local income tax returns with a focus on flowthrough taxation.
In this role you will:
- Prepare federal state and local income tax returns with a focus on flowthrough taxation (i.e. S Corporations Partnerships)
- Prepare responses to notices and audit information requests from various federal state and local authorities
- Assist accounting department with tax account reconciliations
- Assist with other accounting projects
- Research and analyze technical tax issues
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in accounting or related field required
- Masters degree in accounting or taxation preferred
- Minimum one years experience in public accounting or corporate/ public accounting preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or pursuit of CPA preferred
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Tax research
- Accounting and tax software skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and work with moderate supervision
- Strong analytical critical thinking and problemsolving skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Ability to conduct tax research utilizing appropriate resources
- Lift up to 20 pounds
