Description: Job Description:
Superintendent II leads field construction activities and personnel ensuring assigned projects meet budget schedule quality and safety objectives. A knowledge of methods materials tools and equipment used in construction; building codes and requirements; and OSHA safety standards is required. Strong experience in ground up construction petroleum/gas station experience is highly desired.
Requirements:
High School diploma/GED
Lives in the Denver/metro area or within close vicinity to Denver
Willingness to travel up to 100% once projects are complete in this area
Able to read blueprints
OSHA 30 Proficient in Divisions 116
Fuel / Petroleum experience desired
Performance Expectations:
Works with the project manager and owners representatives to ensure work complies with drawings specifications and local jurisdiction codes.
Reviews submittals.
Communicates site conflicts schedule and quality issues effectively to the project manager.
Supports project manager in the negotiation of claims and change orders.
Submits RFIs to project manager.
Actively and continually monitors project equipment needs utilization and maintenance requirements.
Maintains daily housekeeping of the trailer and job site and ensures tools material equipment project site and trailers are secured at the end of each working day. Gets unneeded items off rent and offsite.
Ensures tools are operated correctly working properly or locked out / tagged out.
Maintains open communication between all subcontractors to ensure all required labor materials equipment and inspections support project activities and project schedule.
Understands all subcontractors scopes; assures subcontractors maintain schedules and quality standards and meet contract requirements.
Ensures that project safety protocols are implemented and followed by Zernco and subcontractor personnel; facilitates weekly safety meetings; ensures personal protective equipment is properly used.
Participates in jobsite safety assessments and assists in performing incident or accident investigations and followups.
Submits accurate daily job reports to the office reporting job progress subcontractors on site safety concerns employee time per diem training as well as purchases made with the purchase order number; submits weekly photos of job site progress; and submits receipts daily.
Performs project closeout and ensures the punch list is completed in a timely manner.
Participates in postproject review and at that meeting produces red line drawings and submits warranties gathered onsite.
Mentors Project Engineers Foremen and Carpenters assigned to the project.
