- Develop and Issue Safety Management System supported by Regional documents according to quality
- Audit the effectiveness of the Safety Management System and report issues to top management
- Improve and modify Safety Management System to protect organisation against litigation and prosecution
- Follow recent developments in the legislation and advise company on compliance
- Create countrywide resource basis for legal advice on all Health & Safety and Environmental matters
- Act as the prime contact to the Health Safety & Environmental authorities maintain and foster good relations with the Health Safety & Environmental authorities
- Develop Programmes and coach regional trainers for Preventive Programmes
- Liaise with insurers for all company liability claims property protection etc
- Cooperate with regional purchasing team to identify opportunities for cost savings related to EHS matters.
- Organise and implement Standardised personal protective programme in order to ensure correct standard personal protective equipment is provided at an acceptable cost
- Conduct Health & Safety Compliance Audits in accordance with the regional quality instructions and communicate audit results to management
- Provide service to the local coordinators in the accounts by performing relatively simple in house statutory required measurements at no costs (noise measurements infrared thermographic surveys etc...)
- Follow all Health & Safety and Environmental requirements that are defined on work instructions or communicated in training
- Follow required emergency prevention and operational controls
