Job Description
Mechatronics intern
Autoliv is looking to hire Summer Interns focusing on Electronics & Mechatronics Engineering at its Auburn Hills MI location. The role entails working closely with engineers from multiple departments within Autoliv.
We are seeking a mechatronics intern primarily focused on steering wheel product development. The steering wheel has evolved from a very basic HMI to a complex portion of the ADAS and comfort systems of a vehicle. The design of a steering wheel requires a diversely skilled engineer that spans a breadth of engineering disciplines including materials optics electronics and mechanics among others. In addition the ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills.
What youll do:
- Perform basic professional Engineering assignments.
- Apply standard engineering techniques practices procedures and criteria in specific situations adjusts and correlates data recognizes discrepancies in results.
- Work to get test equipment working.
- Documenting procedures.
- Assist application engineers learn to use test equipment.
- Support development projects.
- Support product launches.
- Support technical engagement with supply base.
What is required:
Must be attending an accredited University enrolled in Applied Science Math Physics Computer Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Science or related Engineering field.
Problem solving and analytical skills required
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Strong organizational skills and multitasking capability required
