Job Description
Production Technician responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Sterilizing preparing and organizing equipment and reagents into carts trays for use during sterile test sessions
- Cleaning and sterilizing instruments
- Cleaning of Controlled Testing Environments
- Maintain bacteriafree work areas and proper clean room sterility by using aseptic procedures and following all department cleaning guidelines.
- Keep accurate records of sterilization and supply inventory
- Preparation of media and supplies needed for Technologists to perform testing in CTEs
- Operate sterilization equipment (i.e. autoclaves) and sonicators
- Preparing and delivering all necessary equipment and instruments for CTEs and testing and supply carts and supplies.
- Controlling the inventory reordering supplies and checking expiration dates.
- Works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods
- Adheres to all quality guidelines
- Works under moderate degree of supervision
- Work typically involves regular review of output by work lead or supervisor
- Refers complex unusual problems to supervisor
- Comply with departmental and company safety guidelines including proper use of PPE
Qualifications :
Basic Minimum Educational Qualifications:
- High school degree or GED preferred
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience preferred
- Demonstrated skills
- Attention to detail is critical and need to adhere to strict procedures to prevent contamination of samples equipment and CTEs
- Interpersonal skills are needed to work well with others in a fastpaced environment
- Ability to safely work within an environment in which potentially infectious human blood and body fluids are present utilizing all appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Potential Environmental Factors:
- This laboratory carefully maintains all hazardous materials. All employees must abide by Eurofins DPT Safety and Exposure procedures. This includes using the provided safety clothing and equipment.
Additional Information :
Position is fulltime 4 (10) hour shifts 1st shift OR 2nd shift Monday Thursday Saturday OR Thusday Sunday OR Friday Monday 12:00pm 10:30pm or 7:00am 5:30pm with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Centennial CO are encouraged to apply.
Compensation Range:
- $19.50/hr to $21.00/hr $1.75 2nd shift differential $1.50 weekend differential
