The primary purpose of the Business Unit Manager (Country Manager) in France is to strategically manage lead and coordinate multiple Professional Scientific Services (PSS) teams and their onsite leaders to ensure that our teams located at our clients sites are operating at the highest quality and productivity standards.

The Country Manager will be the key point of contact for our clients from an operational management point of view and a key point of contact to link with PSS Senior Management in France and their peers across Europe.

This person will be responsible for the Profit & Loss (P&L) management of the French Business Unit including contributing to the budget process. Furthermore this role will actively participate in business development activities for existing and new businesses driving growth across the scope of PSS France.

This position is a strong combination of strategic planning managing operational excellence client relationship management and leadership using HR best practices.

This is a remote position involving frequent traveling (6070% of working time). The Country Manager reports directly to the Managing Director of Eurofins PSS France and Italy.

Management and People

1. First point of contact and partner for all PSSrelated topics within France.
2. Building and managing excellent client relationships and service (i.e. quality productivity ethics and compliance administrative aspects).
3. Effectively organizing coordinating and managing the PSS teams including development mentoring coaching and motivation.
4. Recruiting and onboarding of new employees in collaboration with the onsite managers.
5. Ensuring all PSS processes and systems are implemented and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement (i.e. quality KPIs talent management and retention).

Business Development

1. Identifying and driving business opportunities for existing clients.
2. Driving new business development.
3. Participating in tenders and requests for proposals.

P&L and Budget

1. Responsible for the monthly P&L management and review.
2. Involved in the yearly budget process.

Qualifications :

Education: a degree in a related scientific discipline (i.e. life science engineering quality) is required and additional qualification in business is an advantage.

Experience: at least 5 years of operational experience with management responsibilities.

Skills/knowledge: sound knowledge of processes and requirements within life science or pharmaceutical industries (i.e. quality standards GMP environment).

Business development and client relationship management skills.

Excellent communication and organization skills.

Financial/P&L Acumen.

Team player proactive organized and flexible.

Languages: fluent in both French and English.
