Job Description

Greenberg Traurig (GT) a global law firm is dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of our attorneys and professional staff firmwide. In keeping with those values GT has a newly created fulltime opportunity for an International Employee Benefits and Compensation Specialist. The International Benefits and Compensation Administrator will report into the U.S. Director of Benefits and Manager of Compensation. This position will play a key role in administering and optimizing employee benefits schemes and compensation criteria for our attorneys and professional staff in Europe Asia the Middle East and Latin America.
Position Summary:
This role requires a strong understanding of international benefits and compensation regulations and practices as well as the ability to navigate complex crosscultural environments through strong organizational and communication skills. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal Talent Services and operational teams and external vendors to ensure the effective delivery of schemes and analyses that meet the needs of our growing diverse workforce.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development implementation and administration of international employee benefits programs ensuring they adhere to applicable local laws and regulations.
  • Support the management of relationships and service with external benefits vendors brokers and consultants.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to regional Talent Services teams on compensation and benefits matters including but not limited to job evaluations salary structures and benefits enrollment.
  • Assist in the creation of global communications as needed to effectively communicate compensation and benefits information to employees ensuring transparency and understanding.
  • Assist in the monitoring and analysis of benefits and compensations trends through market research and benchmarking noting changes in trends applicable governmental regulations and best practices and assessing the impact on employees and the firm to recommend innovations and improvements.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate processing of employee benefit enrollments and changes.
  • Handle benefits and compensation inquiries and issues escalating or redirecting when necessary to ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of required documentation budgeting reports and records as applicable to various global regions and working with global HR teams.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of salary structures and compensation policies.
  • Assist in conducting market research and benchmarking to ensure competitive benefits and compensation practices to ensure competitive positioning in the marketplace and in alignment with Firm recruiting and retention goals.
  • Support annual compensation review processes including salary adjustments and bonus allocations.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Have an excellent command of both written and spoken English.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization and the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities timely with flexibility and the ability to pivot as needed.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills takes initiative and uses good judgment excellent followup skills
  • Recognize confidential proprietary information and maintain confidentiality; ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Candidate must be highly motivated selfstarter who can work well under minimal supervision as well as take a proactive approach in being team oriented.
Qualifications & Prior Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 25 years working in a multicountry multicultural benefits and compensation role preferably with a global law firm or professional services firm.
  • Strong knowledge of international compensation and benefits regulations practices and market trends.
  • Proficiency in using benefits and compensation administration software. Experience with Workday preferred.
  • Professional certification in employee benefits and/or compensation (e.g. CEBS GBA GRP) is a plus.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word PowerPoint Excel and Outlook.
