Job Description

The successful candidate will have a strong handson experience in bioassay including but not limiting to molecular endpoints biochemistry assay bioanalytical assay and formulation characterization etc.  The candidates shall also be analytically minded systematic and embrace datadriven decision making. The scientist will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across the client organization to perform experiments to aid development of nanomedicine candidates and nonvirus delivery platform for the next generation of Genetic Medicine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with project team to design and execute bioanalytical assay to support preclinical characterization of nanomedicine (e.g. in vitro potency assessment ligandreceptor binding assessment etc.).
  • Develop and execute molecular endpoint assay to support in vitro or in vivo assessment of nanomedicine (e.g. Tissue processing DNA/RNA extraction qPCR flow cytometry etc.)
  • Lipid nanoparticle formulation and characterization (e.g. Buffer exchange Ribogreen assay DLS HPLC etc.)
  • General laboratory assistance including ordering and receiving lab supplies preparation of reagents and maintaining laboratory equipment
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical challenges and provide scientific and technical input to project teams
  • Support workflow automation and optimization.
  • Help design and complete experiments perform data analysis and present results.
  • Accurate recording of all practical work: completion of electronic notebook while maintaining procedure quality standards

Qualifications :

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. (or above) in biology biochemistry bioengineering biotechnology or related field
  • 2 years of handson laboratory experience in molecular endpoint or nucleic acid formulation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  • Experience working on Lipid nanoparticles (LNP) or mRNA is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in platebased automation or semiautomation assay development/execution is strongly preferred.
  • Experience of using Benchling as an electronic notebook is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to adapt and exercise flexibility for changing platform needs workflows and projects.
  • Ability to craft complete and interpret experiments independently and to advance scientific understanding.
  • Excellent communication skills and efficiency in collaborating across functional boundaries and in a team environment
  • Strong organization skills attention to detail critical thinking multitasking desire to learn new techniques and contribute to innovative projects in a fastpaced working environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in processing organizing analyzing and visualizing data and information from disparate sources and the  ability to extract insight from data
  • Familiar with Excel Word PowerPoint GraphPad and analytical software associated with methods.


Additional Information :

The position is Full Time MondayFriday 8 am5 pm with overtime as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Boston MA are encouraged to apply.
