A progressive Independent healthcare located in Roswell NM is seeking an MRI Tech:

This group operates multispecialty clinic with 11 providers specializing in:

Hematology/Oncology

Endocrinology

Internal Medicine

Rheumatology

Neurology

Family Medicine

With over 150 employees they have been a mainstay in Southeastern NM since July 2008 and during the preceding decade they were Southeastern New Mexico Hematology and Oncology.

Clinic Hours

Clinic hours 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Thursday and 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday:

Clinics closing at noon on Fridays allows staff and providers to use that time to complete any required trainings and meetings or to use the time to complete administrative work.

Most staff leave between 12:30 to 3:00 PM on Fridays.

No shift work.

No nights.

No weekends.

Clinics closed for six major holidays.

After one year all eligible employees are enrolled into our 401(k) plan and start receiving an

automatic 3% contribution to this plan on their behalf. Since this is an employer contribution to the plan it is in addition to the employees current salary. Employees then have the option of setting up their own contribution to the retirement plan but it is not a requirement for receiving the 3% employer contribution.

Salary for radiology staff is negotiable based on years of experience and these employees are also afforded the opportunity to elect a signon/retention bonus that is based on the number of modalities they possess with each modality receiving an addition to the bonus.

Reimbursement for relocation expenses is also available.

This Clinic is the largest of their facilities and houses the entirety of their Radiology

Job Description:

Seeking skilled MRI Technologist with at least 1 to 3 years of experience

to join our Radiology Team. You will be responsible for providing clear images to Physicians through MRI scanning. The MRI technicians responsibilities include following Physicians instructions explaining the MRI procedure to patients selecting software options and imaging parameters on the MRI machine viewing images from the imaging session and keeping records of reports.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

Perform MRI procedures at a tech level in accordance with protocols.

Maintain proper quality control procedures.

Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to MRI exams and equipment.

Establish and maintain effective working relationship with patients medical staff and the public.

Knowledge of concepts standards procedures and equipment.

Explaining the MRI process to patients and ensuring the patients comply with all safety standards.

Positioning patients to capture clear images of the correct area of the body.

Removing and then replacing IVs and catheters for the MRI process.

Maneuvering the MRI equipment and positioning it to capture the correct images.

Monitoring patients during scanning and maintaining patients records.

Monitoring MRI equipment functions.

Ensuring clear images for Physicians to provide accurate diagnoses.

Recognizing abnormalities and irregularities in images.

Must be able to work additional hours during the workweek when necessary
