Job Description
- Conduct research and predevelopment of innovative fuel cell and hydrogen systems as well as key BoPs for mobility and beyond in close collaboration with the research teams in Germany and US
- Focus is on optimizing fuel cell and hydrogen system with innovative BoPs system topology and control strategy
- Work closely with business units in China to supply cutting edge technology solutions and to transform them to products
- Scouting identifying benchmarking and tracking of new trends and emerging technologies in China derive impacts on company research strategy and identify key partners.
- Establish relationship with university professors industrial companies and experts.
Main responsibility includes:
- Pursue technology excellence by contributing brilliant ideas to new product concepts including patent filing
- Prove innovation concept by predevelopment including design simulation prototyping test and validation
- Design and implement system solutions from requirements to production and commercial deployment
- Support project activities to transfer deliverables to business units successfully
Qualifications :
- PhD degree or excellent Master in discipline of automotive engineering thermodynamics electrical engineering fuel cell or computational optimization; knowledge on fuel cell and hydrogen system is appreciated
- Practical experiences in system simulation system optimization and control strategy development is preferred
- Good knowledge on fuel cell and electrolysis stack and auxiliaries (BoP such as filter compressor humidifier recirculation pump radiator coolant pump as well as hydrogen storage) is preferred
- Broad knowledge on H2 industry from production to utilization is preferred
- Excellent communication skills fluent in English (oral and written)
- Efficient resultoriented structured working style experienced in project work
- Strong team player and passion for innovation
